About Me
I'm Nathan Korinek, a geospatial and environmental data scientist with a passion for open-source tools, reproducible science, climate, and ecosystems. My strengths center around enhancing data accessibility and collaborating with specialists and scientists to design data-driven workflows that address complex ecological and climatological challenges.
Some of my favorite projects have involved building scalable workflows for analyzing remote sensing data, developing machine learning models to classify landscape change, and contributing to open-source projects and educational material that make geospatial workflows more accessible.
My background spans academia, government, and nonprofit collaborations, with a strong emphasis on open-source contributions and public impact. I'm particularly excited about opportunities to support mission-driven teams working on climate, ecosystem sciences, sustainability, or public-good technology.
When I'm not working with data, you might find me testing new recipes in my kitchen, baking bread, or traveling to national parks.
